Webmasters can start hosting business and earn as hosting reseller or they can only have their own websites and try to earn use affiliate programs.
In both way you need dedicted servers.
What are dedicated servers and what are they?
In some occasions a professional web hosting solution and web presence requires its own server for our exclusive use. This type of machine, usually in rented or owned (housing), are what are called dedicated servers.
A virtual server is one that is physically hosted on a machine that is shared by multiple users and that while it is an excellent solution to start our online presence, it has some shortcomings that can fill a dedicated server.
A dedicated server provides greater flexibility in building pages and applications, faster access and corporate databases and remote management access as root (superuser). Dedicated servers also provide increased reliability. As dedicated hosting running solely on a physical machine, there are no disadvantages to share with other sites bandwidth, disk space or other server resources such as processor time or RAM.
“My needs require a dedicated hosting?
Solutions that manage critical or sensitive data are undoubtedly require exclusive use servers. In the shared hosting several customers have access to the same machine and also we have permission to run programs on it (CGI, PHP and others). The degree of security will be much greater if we are the only ones with such privileges.
Databases or applications with large consumption of CPU intensive, make the shared hosting is not a valid solution. A virtual server shares the resources of the machine with other domains. In this case, dedicated hosting will give us the means and the scalability required.

There are specific or custom applications that require server access privileges to administer and control it fully. The dedicated servers are the only ones that allow you to carry out these tasks. With dedicated hosting you can install all the software you want, register domains, email accounts, etc.. With no other limit than that imposed by the hardware of the machine.
BOTW Directory – Best of the Web directory – great webmaster SEO option

The SEOs can not stop, not for the Internet, competition either, so I decide to revise payment directories “High value added” to see if any new developments, changes, etc. and once again get BOTW Directory (Best of the Web ), which only offers the possibility of Alta for Payment.
So far so normal, but then again, the fine print, that you just read it when we hurry, the small print of the conditions of Registration in BOTW being spent this way:
HIGH PRICES
- Annually Recurring Charge – U.S. $ 69.95
- One-Time Charge Only – $ 199.95
Come on, that flights are not cheap, but still.
In other words:
- I understand that there is NO guarantee that my site is added in the Directory
- I understand that I will pay a price of $ 69.95 non-refundable.
Yes, we know that the Yahoo directory has the same conditions for the High, and even more expensive, but also that BOTW is not the same Yahoo, no justification that one does, so that others may copy it .
Sounds like a robbery, a brazen, so that if they admit a website, to stay with the money from Alta in the concept of “express review” of the web, mainly because the underlying criteria for accepting or not an external website are objective.
So idea is to increase number of website visits : Submit to BOTW

5 reasons to use twitter as a marketing tool

Filed under Bloggers & Writers, Webmasters
In the first instance to use www.twitter.com a marketer may seem banal and meaningless. All that micro-chatting/mega chatroom seems to have no direction. But underneath that content is hidden a great tool to have contact with your current customers and future customers. Twitter has become a very effective communication medium for exploring new ways to support customers, spread content and serves as marketing research tool.
There are many reasons to use it as a marketing vehicle and above all as a form of personal branding. One of its main advantages is the speed with which propagates the content, another is ultimately the diversity of formats that can be shared, from videos, photos, text links to certain sites that are most obvious. Twitter has proven that its functionality is limited only by the creativity of the users.
There are 5 areas where the network has proven effective in terms of advertising and marketing:
1. Means to communicate promotions / discounts / raffles
The most successful promotions are those that are promoted. It is unthinkable that we expect more sales thanks to a rebate without notice to the consumer. In this area twitter works very well, if our fan base is certainly interesting promotion not only leverage but also to send his friends almost immediately. One company that has been successful with this strategy is BestBuy (http://twitter.com/Bestbuy).
2. Customer Service
The main worry of advertising agencies and advertisers when it comes to social networks is that customers complain in public. Last week we talked in this column of the case and I received several emails that tell horror stories about customers, advertisers and agencies, what is forgotten is that a complaint served quickly is a powerful vehicle for our brand, it is essential to accept that a dissatisfied customer complain with who listen and the means in their power. Dell (http://twitter.com/delloutlet) has done a great job of addressing complaints directly to twitter, so in addition to its corporate twitter account has a staff of people dedicated to the subject with their own accounts (http:// twitter.com / RichardatDELL).
3. Communicate relevant information from the mark
Be marked to market successfully requires much effort, it is common to forget that there is relevant information to be communicated to the consumer, since a change in packaging to a new microsite. Share this information via twitter is quite useful, is fast and does not require large public relations resources. This does not mean they go up to twitter all that is happening to our brand, it would make us spammers. A good example of corporate communication in social network Southwets Airlines (http://twitter.com/SOUTHWESTAIR)
4. Market Research
Twitter has a search engine that helps you find what is said of our brand, simply enter http://search.twitter.com we have a window on the camera free world’s largest Gessel. I warn you probably do not like to see what is said about its brand, but like my mom says “if it is free, calls for two”. As a sign of a button, to search for iron Palacio find countless references to the mark, some good and some not so.
5. Build goodwill
“Speaking means people,” says the popular saying, the same is true with customers on twitter you can talk frankly with them and not always going to like what they tell you, but you always going to serve.

How google earn money – google history

The number 1 Google search engine on the planet has crossed various aspects since its inception in 1997 through images below and we’ll see how it has been transformed over the last 10 years. It’s always good to know the beginnings of such huge projects like this.
In 1997 and early 1998, Google was still available in google.stanford.edu:
In 1998
Google remained the “search for Stanford,” showing the roots of where Google is. Turn right at the front you could subscribe to the newsletter now extinct friends from Google:
In 1999, you can see Goggle and focuses on something that the competitors were forgetting to focus completely on the search. The logo at that time still a bit ugly … and Google still feels the need to explain what it does ( “search the web using Google”).:
In 2000, after surviving the Y2K bug, Google places a Language Box, and also puts up two choices right, and About Jobs @ google Google. In 2000, Google – no longer Beta – was proudly named “Best Search Engine” by Yahoo Internet Life magazine. You can also display the logo TM (trademark) in the logo:
In 2001, several days after the attacks of 9 / 11, Google displays the news on the cover and provides support information about the attacks.
Google now push other services – the directory of the Web continued from Google (which was based on the Open Directory DMOZ.org) and Google Groups (an archive acquired from Deja News). About the search box, Google shows how many pages it has indexed (another feature not survived). Now if I had to put a date on it, I would say that 2001 was the year that each person surfing the internet really begin to become familiar with Google, but of course a steady growth since start:
Year 2002, Google changed its mind about where to put additional links (which grow in number), and introduces blue tabs above the search box. The index size is now advertised in the position of the foot and the three links to the right of search box are what we have today (advanced searches, preferences and language tools). :
In this image of 2004, Google celebrates Valentine’s Day. Not much new on the homepage, but the size of the index rose 1 billion pages
In 2004 (here shown with an Olympics logo), Google got rid of its tabs above the search box, making the page simpler again. Now they had a list of links (Web, images, groups, news, Froogle – no more than directory).
In 2005, the size of Google’s index nearly doubled last year. Google introduces Google local to home and remove the “business solutions” from the footer.:
Year 2006 (the year that Google lost its innocence because of the cooperation of the censorship of the search with the Chinese government), you can create your Google account to use their services. This means that you will also see the custom menu clumsy placed in the upper right corner. The “Business Solutions” return to the footer, and no indicator of the index size of Google’s foot. However there are an estimated 2 billion sites on the Google database.
In 2007, a decade after its launch, the Google homepage is experiencing a dramatic change (at least with regard to the minimalism of your choice): Navigation is moving from the search box at upper left of the page a move reflected in other Google pages – like Google Image Search, or Google News. The links on the context now where you fit, meaning they are sensitive to context but also otherwise (a potential issue from the point of view of utility). Now the motto of Google is to have a “universal search,” integrating its secondary form (images, blogs, etc..) Into a single experience. When looking for information on Iraq, google suggest researching further tes news, blogs, video, maps and images. If you do it with eg. Elvis Presley will suggest music, videos, e imagens.
How to pick good Web Hosting Service – right hosting

Here’s five easy steps to help you find a good web hosting:
1. Reliability is the main requirement: When you choose a web hosting, many times we do just looking at the disk space and bandwidth that gives us the hosting provider. Unless you have a very popular website, you will use only 10% of bandwidth for most hosting plans. The main factor is your decision, therefore, choose a hosting you greater confidence (ie, the speed of servers and uptime).
2. Online research: To test the reliability of the various hosting providers will need to investigate online. Use search engines to find reviews and customer reviews in web hosting forums. To view customer reviews recommend hostreview (in English) and if you want a forum that specializes in web hosting forums I recommend the Web.
3. Stay away from oversellers: It is very tempting to subscribe to a hosting offers many gigabytes of disk space, many Terabytes of monthly bandwidth and unlimited domains, especially if you only paid U $ 5.95 dollars a month for this. The only problem is that hosting providers are overselling (eg consists resell any disc space as possible, regardless of whether you can reach the limit of these resources or not) and thus can not guarantee the quality of service. Better look for a hosting company that offers a reasonable specification.
4. Try the help desk: Before you subscribe to a hosting company, make sure to send some emails to the sales support it. So you can see how quickly you respond, and they treat you like that level of technical knowledge by the operators. If a company has a poor customer support department is likely that other areas of the company have the same operation.
5. Do not be stingy: If you are a person who is serious about their websites, you should invest some money in a good hosting provider. I’m not saying you need a dedicated server from the beginning, but I believe that if you want a fast and reliable supplier, you need U.S. $ 9 to $ 20 dollars a month.
